Cavemen "Physical, Air, Light, Exercise Three Crucial Legs Of Four Legged Stool

There are several things that are part of the going back to what worked
for your ancestors that are not based on food and drink.
We call them "lifestyle" or environment etc. so lets just deal with them
altogether here once over lightly.
First off, your body is self regulating but got it's regulating cues the
same way for a million years. In the last 200 years there have been
some profound changes in the clues your body picks up still using the
old interpreter program you inherited.
Number one, some of your glandular and regulating hormone generation is
controlled and affected by light.
For example, it turns out Vitamin D is not a vitamin at all, it is a
body regulating hormone and about 80% of Americans (including those in
Arizona etc) are D deficient.
This is the result of cavemen almost always being outside the better
part of their life, some or many of us now are never out exposed to the
sun, and many foolishly frightened by authority figures that they should
purposely stay out of the sun or you will get skin cancer, (Not
statistically accurate, lack is bigger hazard)
More and more studies showing this is the key factor in many diseases,
even diabetes, 85% plus low on vitamin D.
My mother made us take cod liver oil over the winter, growing up in the
northern latitudes, Midwest, she did not know why, she just knew it kept
you healthy over the winter, (actually supplied vitamin D in good
quantity.) I still take it today though living in Arizona and am
personally in the sun every day.
I strongly suggest you do so too,
which is another whole article. (wife says it tastes terrible, get
emulsified, mint flavor if that is your problem.)
Years ago when people were at a death sentence if they contracted
tuberculosis, some doctors found extra exposure to bright unfiltered
sunlight (does not work thru glass) cured their TB patients when
absolutely nothing else worked.
Doctors walked out en mass at medical conventions when papers were
presented on this cure, and it took 20 years to become accepted medical
practice to prescribe "sunshine" as the cure for tuberculosis.
It was just too simple so "it must be ridiculous," was the thinking.
That is another article, just be aware you need to at least double the
amount of vitamin D and sun exposure and pay to go south once or twice
in the winter if you are north, to stock up, (It is storable) far less
expensive then medical care. Rule of thumb, bare survival is six
square inches of skin exposed to bright sunlight, at least 30 min. a
day.
Also be aware your hunger, eating and sleeping was also designed to be
and is regulated by light and you slept longer hours over the winter etc
all with a purpose. Now you run light bulbs and drive your regulating
system crazy... Partial fix. Regaining normal sleep periods is another
story,
Tip: Sleep in totally darkened room, no night light. Another whole article.
Just want you to be aware there is a lot to learn in changing or fixing
your life style to cooperate with your body and furnish what if was
designed for, and not taking well intentioned advice on how to trick or
try to fight it and/or out smart your inherited amazingly capable
survival system..
Remember, you are learning how to be furnishing your body with what
it was designed for. You can ignore some of this and short change your
survival system.
Guess who pays the price.
Was in a motorcycle shop and there was a sign that said "if you have
a cheap head get a cheap helmet."
We should post a sign that says if your life is not worth much, it wont
pay to spend much effort on keeping it.
Next: the air you breath, you are likely breathing far
lower oxygen level then your ancestors ever lived in and it is likely
more polluted in ten minutes of breathing then your ancestors had to deal
with in 24 hours. Most polluted and lowest oxygen content of all, the
average American "air conditioned" home.
Even your recent ancestors lived in "leaky" homes, plus opened to cool
off and air out daily, that have now been totally sealed up (caulked) air
tight, and every window closed around the clock to keep from running up
the "air conditioning."
Part of the recoup of people with health problems (such as Teddy
Roosevelt story) was their conversion to the great outdoors and
unlimited fresh air that turned their health around. If you are
serious about changing your life style, change you and your health, then
you absolutely have to learn to and automatically "change your daily
inhaled air quality.... (now junk status) another story.
Now days, modern mans lack of physical activity affects at least 20 of
the most chronic and deadly medical disorders.
These now prevalent medical conditions share common genetic "caveman
inherited operating systems that were supported by considerable body
physical activity.
In direct proportion as to that physical activity diminishing, chronic
health conditions occurred.
Physical needs for the Paleolithic or Caveman Age required activity as a
natural part of survival.
This daily physical activity was an integral, obligatory totally
necessary aspect of our ancestor's existence.
The weekly activity pattern of hunter-gatherers of the Caveman or
Paleolithic Stone Age period (c. 10,000 B.C.) (or the American Indian
for example,) required several days of fairly intensive physical
activity followed by days of rest and light activity.
Men commonly hunted together for one to four days each week which varied by season,
while women journeyed out to gather food every two to three days. These
physical labors included searching, tool and clothing making,
butchering, food preparation and drying, locating, carrying firewood and
water. As the seasons changed often moving long distances and
constantly moving to new campsites or more plentiful game areas or
following herds etc..
These on going exercise obligatory exercises were supplemented by
ceremonial and celebration dances, often lasting even for days, as a
major recreational activity in many cultures.
Twenty-first century Americans still possess these exact same model late
cavemen, pre-industrialized society pre-agricultural hunter-gatherer
genes,
The chief hazard to survival was famine or times of the year with little
or no food supply. They developed nutritional "thrifty genes." that
made it possible to survive with low or get by for periods with no
calorie input.
Our food abundant western society now makes this physical activity no
longer obligatory for assured food supply survival.
They find they can eat regularly abundantly and food is still readily
available despite their maintaining a sedentary lifestyle.
This development disrupts the normal survival mechanisms that have been
programmed into your model of body operating system proper metabolic
functions necessary to maintain health.
This lack of traditional physical activity interferes with the
programmed operating system and becomes an initiating factor in the
advent in modern man induced mechanisms of disease.
Thus exercise is a normal part of the inherited "caveman" Paleolithic
operating system and dropping it out of the day to day equation upsets
the apple cart so to speak and sets off the beginning of inevitable
disaster.
